Registration - UPK

Holland Central School
Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Program
There is no charge for participation. Consistent, regular attendance in our UPK program is advised.
H.O. Brumsted Elementary will be offering a FULL-DAY UPK program. After they reach the age of 4, students may ride the elementary school’s regular morning and afternoon buses.

The following is required criteria for participation in the program:

  • Child and family must reside in the Holland Central School District (Proof of residency [2 forms] required).
  • Child must be four on or before December 1, 2025 (Birth Certificate required).

To be considered for placement, the following application and health forms must be returned to the Elementary School Office with proof of residency [2 forms], copy of birth certificate, and a current immunization record on or before May 5, 2025.  Families who have satisfied this requirement will be notified by letter if they are enrolled by JUNE 6, 2025.  Location placement letters will be sent home during early August 2025.  In the event that we have more applicants than available slots, students will be selected for program participation using an electronic lottery system.

Once a child is selected for the program, a complete Immunization Record will be required prior to enrollment.  In accordance with New York State Public Health Laws (you may visit health.ny.gov/immunization for more information), each child entering school, including pre-kindergarten programs, must meet certain immunization requirements.  Immunization requirements for entrance into a pre-kindergarten program are as follows:

·  Hepatitis B Vaccine  -  3 doses
·  DTaP - at least 4 doses
·  Polio Vaccine  -  at least 3 doses
·  MMR  -  1 dose (given on or after 1st birthday)
·  HIB     -  (1-4 doses, based upon starting age)
·  Varicella Vaccine  -  1 dose
·  Pneumococcal Vaccine (1-4 doses, based upon starting age)

Whether your child participates in our program or any other preschool experience, it is wise to have their immunizations current. If you have any questions or require additional assistance, please contact the Elementary School Office at 716-537-8250.
