• From the Office of Curriculum

Dear Holland Faculty, Parents, and Community,
It’s a thrill and an honor to be joining the Holland Central School District as the Director of Curriculum. I am so grateful to be able to be a part of such a wonderful community!

I grew up not far from Holland in West Valley, NY and currently live in Boston, NY with my husband and our two daughters. I attended SUNY Fredonia, earning my Bachelor of Arts in English Adolescence Education. After I graduated, I was hired as a secondary English teacher at Fillmore Central School. While I was teaching in Fillmore, I earned my Masters in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at Walden University.

In 2016, I joined the Instructional Support Services division at Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES as a Coordinator of Curriculum and Professional Development. In that role, I was an embedded Curriculum Coordinator at Pioneer Central School. As a coordinator, I've supported teachers and administrators with curriculum development and alignment, data analysis, instructional planning, technology integration, and professional development.

There is nothing more important than the education and success of our young people, a journey in which we all play a role. I’m committed to providing support to our educators as we realize our district mission to “let each student become all that they are capable of being in a safe, caring, and supportive environment where schools, home, and community work in a cooperative partnership.”

I’ve received such a warm welcome to the district and am looking forward to collaborating and working toward the success of our students together. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

    Sincerely,
    Sarah Wittmeyer
