Ms. Amsden teaches English at the middle and high school. This is her first year teaching at Holland, but is a Holland resident and both of her kids are Holland alumni. Ms. Amsden holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in English and is in the process of completing her master’s degree in English.

Ms. Amsden went into teaching because of a passion for literature. She also has a desire to support young people as they grow into purposeful, contributing adults. Ms. Amsden loves the community at Holland and feels the young people are the greatest she has ever met. When she is not in the classroom, Ms. Amsden loves reading, running, walking the dog and watching movies.
