Mrs. Sunderlin teaches fourth grade at the elementary school. She went into teaching because when she was growing up, she was the struggling student and feels that without important teachers she never would have believed that she could achieve success. She never wants a student to feel the way she felt and she wants them to know that all things are possible. Mrs. Sunderlin attended Medaille College where she received a bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Literacy.
This is Mrs. Sunderlin’s second year at Holland. Her favorite thing about teaching at Holland is the students and families. When she isn’t in the classroom, Mrs. Sunderlin and her family love to go camping. They go tent camping and backpacking as well as take their trailer to different areas in WNY.
