    Welcome to Holland Central School District, Transportation Department. I hope you find the following information helpful, if at any time you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.

    Holland Central School District owns and maintains 32 vehicles, including grounds and service vehicles. Our staff of 27 professionals work out of the Transportation Department located at 176 Canada St. We transport 1,300 students approximately 500,000 miles each year.
    Our professional school bus drivers maintain their CDL license each year by attending two refresher classes, passing yearly defensive driving reviews, physicals, license reviews, in addition they must pass a bi-yearly physical performance test, behind the wheel driving review, and written test.
    The Transportation Supervisor has 15 years experience in pupil transportation. Suzanne is a 19-A certified examiner and a certified School Bus Driver Instructor. She is a member of the Western Chapter of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT). NYAPT mission is dedicated to the support, development and representation of the professionals who are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our school children. She also is a member of NAPT (National Association of Pupil Transportation).
    Transportation is provided to all students living within the district. Each year staff establishes bus routes based on safety stops, and time schedules. Letter will be sent to each student prior to the start of school in September, containing pick-up and drop-off information.
    Any parent wishing to have their child attend private/parochial school, In accordance with New York State Education Law Section 3635. Must submitt a written request for transportation by April 1 preceding the next school year. Below is a request form that you may use to fill out and submitt.
    Alternate transportation requests should be submitted to the transportation office no later than August 1. Requests during the school year will be processed as quickly as possible, usually within 1 week.

    Non-Public Transportation Request 

    For non-public transportation, please fill out the above form and mail or fax to the Transportation Department by April 1st.
    At times you may need to request Alternative Transportation for your child. Please fill out the above form and return to the Transportation office one week prior.
