Holland Central School District is dedicated to ensuring that every student receives a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs. To support the success of all learners,
the District provides a variety of programs and services to support the educational process. Many of these programs are provided through general education, including each school's Response to Intervention (RtI).

When general education supports are not enough to address a student's learning needs, Special Education services provide specially designed instruction and interventions for students with educational disabilities. These programs and supports are individualized to meet each student's unique needs while building on their strengths. Holland CSD offers a continuum of services for students with disabilities in the least restrictive and most inclusive environment appropriate for each child.

Families may become involved with special education through a variety of pathways. Some disabilities are identified during early childhood, leading to referrals to the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE). Other students may be identified later when they experience challenges in school-age programs. Special education services are designed to ensure that students with disabilities have equitable access to educational opportunities and can continue receiving appropriate support through age 22, when needed.

Parents who believe their child may have an educational disability are encouraged to contact their child's teacher, school psychologist, school counselor, or building principal to discuss their concerns and explore available supports.
