Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT)
Pandemic Electronic Transfer (P-EBT) is a temporary food benefits program available to families with children who would have received free or reduced-priced meals (determined by meal application or direct certification) if schools were open. During the 2019-2020 school year and the following summer, eligible families received up to $425 per child to help feed their children while many schools and summer meal programs were closed.
If you did not receive a benefit and believe your child(ren) are eligible, please call the NYS P-EBT hotline at 1-833-452-0096.
P-EBT Benefits for the 2020-2021 School Year
P-EBT benefits have been extended for the 2020-2021 school year. To be considered, households must submit an application for free or reduce-priced meals for the 2020-2021 school year or be approved for Medicaid or SNAP benefits. Families who received benefits last summer are not automatically eligible. Eligibility is based on the current school year. To ensure you qualify for these benefits, please submit your application as soon as possible.
More information about eligibility and benefit levels will be available soon. Visit the NYS-P-EBT website for updates and more information.
